ISO 14001 Certification
Uchida Yoko is compliant with the international environmental management system standard, ISO 14001.
On July 26, 1999, Uchida Yoko obtained certification for the international environmental management system standard set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) based in Geneva, Switzerland. Uchida Yoko then expanded its ISO 14001 certification to include the entire company, obtaining certification for its Osaka branch in March 2002, its Hokkaido and Kyushu regional offices in July 2002, and its Shinkawa office in July 2004 (through expansion of certification to other applicable organizations).
Uchida Yoko has utilized the ISO 14001 certification process as an opportunity to implement more environmentally-conscious business practices. In addition to offering products with lower environmental impact that function in a recycling-oriented society, we also contribute to the continuous promotion of global environmental protection and economic activities. Uchida Yoko strives to be a company that people can trust.
The Uchida Environmental Management System that was approved for ISO 14001 certification facilitates reductions in the energy and resources consumed for sales and office operations. Moreover, the system implements lifecycle assessment (LCA) of our products and aims for product development that considers global environmental conservation from the planning and development phases all the way to the manufacturing, distribution, use, and disposal phases. As a result, customers can also participate in environmental conservation by using Uchida Yoko products.
