We have taken this opportunity to reinforce our commitment to environmental principles in all facets of our operations, in particular, by working to minimize the environmental impact of our products in line with the ideal of a sustainable society. At the same time, we are embracing the challenge of pursuing economic growth in an environmentally responsible manner, as part of our desire to be a respected corporate citizen.
The Uchida Yoko Energy Management System (EMS) goes well beyond simply reducing our levels of energy and resource consumption. It also includes a stringent product assessment process that examines the environmental impact at every stage of the product life cycle, from design and development through to production, distribution, product usage and final disposal. We are working to make our products more environmentally friendly, and we look forward to working together with our clients in developing a shared commitment to the environment.
